Social Life
Many of our Residents say that they have a far better social life than they did before they came to live at Eastbury House.
Art and craft sessions, outings to local coffee shops, pubs, the theatre, cinema and places of interest. Also, to places further afield such as to the coast or the swannery, take place according to the seasons.
Regular in-house singing, musical entertainment, drama therapy sessions, chair-based exercise classes with local professionals and a range of other sessions undertaken by our activities person, such as; quizzes, scrabble, word games, art and crafts and a film club.
We have visits from local schools and playgroups and amateur theatrical groups at various times of the year as well as visits from local artists/historians and other creative neighbours and visits from birds of prey and even alpacas and miniature horses!
We have a hairdresser visit weekly and a beauty therapist and chiropodist visit every 6 weeks for those who feel like being pampered.
Quarterly Residents meetings are held where everyone can discuss any ideas and thoughts and share their views with the staff team and help plan the diary for the weeks ahead.
